Catching up on my occasional posts...

Well, I'm not very good at this, but my life continues to be B U S Y!  Since I last posted, my oldest daughter and I took a very long camping trip across the country to Quincy, Illinois to visit my granddaughter, see where she now lives (near the parents of her fiance) and help her pick out her wedding dress (for her wedding that will occur next year.

The camping was pretty fun.  We stayed at KOA camp grounds and pitched our tent a total of probably 8 times.  We'll do it again next year when we travel to Illinois for the wedding, except we'll have the guys with us (my two grandsons and my husband) then.

The weather in Illinois we extremely HOT and was miserable.  We met youngest daughter Jenny in St. Louis and spent the week-end hitting the night spots and helping granddaughter try on those wedding dresses.  St. Louis was cool (although it too was pretty hot).

Took Clancy, my dog with us and he was a real trooper.  He absolutely loves riding in the car and was the best travel companion ever!!

Since we got back, been trying to settle back into the cooler Northwest weather and I love it!  Also been trying to settle into the 'retired' life of not really having a job.  Done some fun things with the girls (Gorgeous Girlfriends / or GG's for short), and catching up at home.

Over the last week-end we went to Jim's family reunion which was extremely small this year.  Later that day, we went to the Sweet Cheeks Winery Appreciation Dinner.  That's always an extremely nice time and look forward to it every year.  Love the wine too!!

Last week, we decided that we would host an exchange student for the coming school year.  It has all moved pretty quickly and looks like we will host a 17 year old young lady from Italy.  Will talk about her more at another time, but we're getting excited.

Well, that's about it for now.  Lots more on the horizon and I will try to continue posting now that I'm back into my regular routine.

Music and My CD Collection

I am a lover and collector of music... all kinds of music.  I have nearly 500 music cd's and have downloaded hundreds of songs from iTunes.  A while back I bought an 80 gig ipod to put ALL of my music on.  Over the last several months, I've copied over half of my music into iTunes and backed it up to my ipod.  Over the last week-end, I picked up the project again and completed all but about 100 cd's.  Today, I am driven to complete this project!!  I've got maybe 60 left to load!  By the end of the day, I'll be able to put this project to rest!!

My First Post

OK, I've never blogged before and I don't really know how to do it, but I have so much on my mind and so many things that I'd like to just share that I thought I'd figure out how to do this and get started.

The kicker about blogging is that I coach people on the computer, yet there are some things that I have not kept up with (like blogging).  That being said, I coach on the basics and leave the technical stuff to my technical friends.

So this blog will be a complicated mix of things that I'm doing, that are going through my mind, that I want to do and that I have done.
